Glass hammering is an ancient technique that involves fusing glass in a high-temperature furnace, followed by treatment with a mixture containing silver nitrate, nickel, and brown pigments. This unique process, exclusively carried out by BMB, results in an exclusive bronze finish not available on the market. The final effect is a bronze glass that brings elegance and refinement to the crafted pieces, becoming a symbol of prestige and high-quality craftsmanship.

Liquid metal finishing, unlike simple painting, combines craftsmanship and technology—a perfect pairing increasingly appreciated in the world of luxury furnishings and interior design. This finish is made from a blend of metal powder and resin, carefully selected and produced in-house by BMB Italy, resulting in an elegant, reflective appearance. The technique of gold leaf application has ancient origins, yet it is still widely used to decorate and cover various surfaces. It involves applying ultra-thin sheets of gold, which are then polished to enhance their brilliance and enrich any surface—be it wood, metal, or even glass. Gold is a metal highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion, ensuring long-lasting beauty over time.

How We Got Here
Founded in 1972 from the dream of Danilo and Giuseppe Testi, BMB Italy began as an artistic workshop where glass took shape to become unique mirrors and decorative furnishings. After capturing the heart of the Italian market, in 1984 the company expanded into Europe, starting a valuable collaboration with agent Helmut Sommer following the Cologne Fair - bringing BMB design to Germany, Central, and Northern Europe.
With growth came a new home: the Cenaia headquarters, 4,300 m² of creativity and innovation, where every project is born and brought to life. After the passing of Danilo, leadership passed to his son Daniele, who expanded the company’s horizons into the nautical and hospitality sectors—while preserving the artisanal spirit that made BMB special from the beginning.
Today, BMB is more than a brand: it is a story of passion, quality, and continuous innovation—capable of transforming glass into emotion and bringing reflections of beauty into every space.
